A well loved Chesterfield...

... is a piece to hold on to

Like a woman...

...  it gets a few lines but is more beautiful and comfortable with age

I WISH I'd realised this many years ago before re-homing ours...

... I should have found it a quiet corner to rest

... until I was seduced into wanting it again

... with a new look.

The need to have one creeps slowly up my wishlist with every winter approach...

... as time spent lounging indoors increases.

The thing about a Chesterfield is it's at home in any setting...

... from traditional to contemporary and everything in between...

... a Chesterfield moves in and softly whispers:

"come, sit down and tell all"

  1. We went sofa shopping last weekend....ended up with a sectional sofa for our basement. But I saw the most yummy Chesterfield upholstered in a greige linen. Very tempting, but I was outvoted. Perhaps next time...

  4. Hi Fiona,

You found a beautiful collection of Chesterfields! Although my house is quite modern, I think it would even fit in there. Like a little black dress, a Chesterfield couch really is timeless!

    Have a lovely Sunday!

  6. Those sofas really are great, aren't they? They go with so many different looks. I like the leather ones and the gray velvet :)
